Amianne Meadeaux

Revanant Temple Knight

A knight first and foremost, she lives only to serve the Holy see. She is a swordfighter without parallel, and most of all...She's the proudest servant of Halone in Eorzea, but her family is far the contrary..

By all means, Amianne's life was far from extraordinary. She spent her childhood as the daughter of a knight of house Durendaire, being raised to marry a higher noble within the house. Though even with all this, she would stray from the path her parents wished for her. Instead of remaining "ladylike" she would turn out to be a fighter, and a good one at that!It was this, that tore her away from the fate that had been decided for her, instead shoving her onto the path of an Ishgardian knight. A title she would keep for the rest of her life, though that was cut short in the end. While previously she'd only ever had reasonably peaceful postings, minus a number of excursions into the Brume below foundation and a small time at the observatorum, even the most peaceful of postings could not have been so during the last day of the dragonsong war. Having been posted to the steps of faith on that tragic day, she was present when Nidhogg himself arrived, ready to burn Ishgard, her home, to the ground. And while every other knight, and truly, anyone without a death wish, fled. She stood straight before the great wyrm, battling a power far greater than herself just long enough for those who fled to be clear of the beast's immense rage, and buying just enough time for the warrior of light to arrive and put the beast to the axe. But in doing so, she would meet her end to Nidhogg's mighty claw, though not before leaving her mark, embedding her sword deep into the beast's leg.She gave her life to save her home, and it was not a sacrifice made in vain, thanks to the actions of the Warrior of light. Ishgard was saved, but at the cost of her life.
Or so she thought.
Necromancy is a wonderful thing after all... And her father was a desperate man. Thus, she would reappear shortly after, having only been considered missing, due to her corpse being absent from the battlefield after all was done and the great wyrm was slain. And as such, the knight would return to her duties, unaware of the state she existed in.
